Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how La-Kass LLC (“La Kass,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information in connection with la-kass.com, purchases, service requests, and customer support. A privacy notice explains our practices; reading it or continuing to browse does not itself provide consent to optional tracking or marketing.
Information we handle
- Shopping and accounts: contact details, login information, billing and delivery addresses, order contents, transaction references, returns, and support correspondence. Payment providers process payment credentials under their own notices; do not send card numbers or bank credentials through our contact or quote forms.
- Services and rentals: your name, email, optional phone number, ZIP code, preferred date, requested service, and project details. Please do not include Social Security numbers, health information, passwords, or unnecessary personal details.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser/device information, requested pages, timestamps, and security logs. Cookies or browser storage may keep a cart, authenticated session, requested wishlist, or privacy notice preference.
- Communications: privacy requests and correspondence; newsletter subscriptions, consent preferences, and unsubscribe records. Newsletter providers may handle email addresses and delivery information. A quote request is not a newsletter subscription.
Why we use information
We use necessary information to operate the store, fulfill orders, assess availability and prepare service quotes, respond to customers, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain security, keep accounting records, and meet legal obligations. Google Analytics, when you enable it, measures browsing activity and technical device information. We do not send names, email addresses, project details, or payment information in our Analytics configuration. Newsletter messages are sent to subscribers; subscription is separate from an order or quote and you can unsubscribe. Promotional communications and optional tracking require the choices or permissions applicable to those activities. Where a lawful basis is required, we rely on contract performance, legal obligations, appropriate legitimate interests, or consent as applicable.
Who receives information
Access is limited to personnel who need information for their work and providers involved in hosting, payment processing, delivery, service coordination, technical support, and communications. Our website is hosted by Hostinger; hosting may involve processing technical logs, stored records, and backups. Payment and delivery providers may act under their own privacy notices. Providers receive information relevant to their tasks. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect lawful rights, or in a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards.
We do not authorize a sale of personal information through this website configuration. Advertising integrations must be reviewed separately before activation: some disclosures can legally constitute a sale or sharing even when no money changes hands. Where applicable, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control for sale, sharing, and targeted advertising.
Cookies and browser storage
Necessary cookies may operate without optional-cookie consent when they are required for a service you request. Optional analytics or advertising technologies require separate choices where applicable. Continuing to browse is not an instruction to activate them. See our Cookie Policy for purposes, usual durations, and controls. Rejecting optional cookies must not prevent shopping or requesting a quote.
Retention and international processing
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described, including handling requests, maintaining customer accounts, required transaction and tax records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Retention depends on the record and applicable requirements; we do not promise immediate removal from every backup. Access to retained records remains restricted, and deletion requests are assessed with legal retention duties. Hosting and service providers may process information in countries other than yours, with safeguards required by applicable law.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your residence and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a portable copy, or an opt-out of targeted advertising, sale/sharing, or certain profiling. You may withdraw consent prospectively where processing relies on consent. Use our Privacy Request form, or our Contact page. We may verify identity and an authorized agent’s authority using proportionate information; we will not request payment credentials. Rights are subject to lawful exceptions and applicable deadlines. We do not penalize you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
If we decline a request, you may ask us to review that decision through the same form by choosing “Appeal a decision.” You may also contact the appropriate regulator; Maryland residents can contact the Maryland Office of the Attorney General. If you receive promotional emails, use the unsubscribe instructions; necessary transaction and service communications may continue.
Security and children
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and risks, but no system is completely secure. Do not share your account password. Suspected misuse or exposure can be reported through our contact channel. We handle breach notifications as required by applicable law. Our store and service booking process are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. If a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
